The Role
Location: Preston. Hours: 40 hours per week (working pattern will vary depending on location, average 36 per week). Pay: £12.60 per hour.
Your core role will include but not be limited to the following activities:
- Deliver high standards across facilities including washrooms and other public spaces.
- Keep all toilets clean of litter, spillages cleaned up, floors clean and tidy.
- Keep all consumables topped up.
- Use a pump to unblock (training provided) if needed.
- Carry out janitor/cleaner duties to the highest specification.
- Carry out general and specialist cleaning duties in line with the role.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly checked, used, and maintained.
- Record all work via a handheld device and report issues accurately.
- Complete all duties in accordance with rail safety regulations and internal procedures.
- Remain flexible with working hours and willing to travel.
- Sweep floors including waiting rooms and entrances.
- Empty bins and remove waste.

- Preferably some experience working within a cleaning environment and as part of a team.
- Effective people skills, able to interact with clients and customers in a positive manner.
- Willing to work in all weather conditions.
- Driving licence (not required for all roles).
Successful candidates will be required to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes, which may include a passport, driving licence, utility bill dated in the last 3 months, HMRC letter, original bank statement, original payslip, birth certificate or a valid share code.
