The Role:
The Security Control Room Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the control room, ensuring effective monitoring, incident management, and coordination of security staff to maintain site safety and compliance. This includes managing alarms, CCTV, and communications while leading the control room team to deliver a professional, responsive security service.

We're Looking For People Who Are:

- Able to work 12-hour shifts covering days, nights and weekends.
Your Core Responsibilities Will Include:
- Operational Oversight: Lead and supervise all control room operations, ensuring continuous situational awareness of the estate. Maintain real-time monitoring of CCTV, access control, alarm systems, fire panels, and integrated security platforms. Coordinate incident response and escalation protocols in line with estate SOPs and emergency plans.
- Team Leadership & Performance: Supervise and mentor control room operators, ensuring adherence to professional standards, SIA licensing requirements, and estate-specific protocols. Conduct regular briefings, debriefings, and shift handovers to ensure continuity and clarity of operations. Monitor staff performance and provide feedback, training recommendations, and disciplinary input where necessary.
- Technology Management: Ensure optimal functioning of all control room technologies including CCTV systems, access control, radio communications and incident logging platforms. Liaise with technical support teams and vendors for fault reporting, maintenance scheduling, and upgrades.
- Incident Management & Reporting: Act as the primary coordinator for all security incidents, ensuring accurate logging, timely escalation, and resolution. Produce detailed incident reports for estate management, law enforcement, and insurance purposes. Maintain a secure record of all control room activities in compliance with GDPR and ISO 27001.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure all control room operations comply with SIA regulations, NaCTSO guidance for crowded places, ISO 22301 (Business Continuity), ISO 27001 (Information Security), and estate-specific safeguarding and data protection policies. Support audits and inspections by internal and external stakeholders.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Liaise with event management, hotel security, school safeguarding leads, F&B operations, and facilities teams to ensure integrated security coverage. Coordinate with emergency services and estate duty management during critical incidents or planned operations.
- Risk & Intelligence Monitoring: Monitor threat intelligence feeds, protest alerts, and local crime trends relevant to Olympia. Initiate proactive measures in response to elevated threat levels or suspicious activity.
- Training & Development: Support ongoing training programs for control room staff, including scenario-based drills, technology refreshers, and compliance updates.
Skills & Experience:
- CCTV licence holder.
- Able to successfully motivate and lead a team in a busy Control Room environment.
- SIA Guarding or Door Supervision licence holder – desirable.
- 5 years checkable work and address history.
- Experienced in customer-facing roles and busy working environments.
- CCTV experience covering a range of settings is desirable (e.g. corporate, commercial, retail, events, gatehouse, loading bay).
- A team player, flexible and supportive, putting team goals first.
- Effective people skills, able to interact with colleagues, customers, and members of the public in a positive and professional manner.
