The role

Carlisle Support Services is looking for a Contract Manager to manage the provision of cleaning and soft services to Merseytravel’s bus stations and buildings. The scope of the services is broken down into two elements: daily and periodical.

Your core role will include but not be limited to the following activities:

  • Promotion of a safe working culture 
  • Ensuring all Operatives hold the relevant qualifications for the roles they undertake
  • Ensure compliance with the companies and client’s health and safety policies.
  • Quality and Service Delivery Management 
  • Ensure KPI scores remain above the contracted targets
  • Completion of monthly performance reports for client review
  • Point of contact for all daily operational incidents and resourcing requirements
  • Generation of an annual budget and monthly forecasts in conjunction with the Finance Team
  • Achieving agreed levels of financial performance   
  • Ensure all hours are recorded on the company’s time and attendance system 
  • Conduct 1-2-1 meetings with direct line reports
  • Develop and deliver a training plan in conjunction with the Learning and Development Team
  • The profitable development of additional service streams and sites
  • Introduction of innovation that enhances the service proposition
  • Ensure that all reports and returns are submitted within the agreed timescales 
  • Ensure the company is represented at all client and stakeholder meetings.
  • Works on ad-hoc projects and tasks when required to meet the demands of the business. 

The ideal candidate

  • A record of managing an industrial workforce 
  • Proven ability to produce and manage budgets, generate a forecast and implement cost saving measures
  • Evidence of promoting a culture of health and safety compliance 
  • A verifiable record of account management and proven ability to up sell services.
  • Full UK Driving Licence 
  • Degree educated
  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualification
  • Operations management

Successful candidates will be required to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes. 

This could include the following: passport / driving licence / utility bill dated in the last 3 months / HMRC letter / original bank statement / original payslip / birth certificate / a valid share code.
