Overview:

Our client is a well-established, privately owned construction company with an excellent reputation for repeat business and delivering high-quality commercial projects. They are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Uxbridge team, overseeing projects across London and the South. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will join a collaborative, supportive environment with a clear progression route to Commercial Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project costs, budgets, cost planning, forecasting, and financial reporting on commercial developments
  • Prepare, manage, and analyse Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
  • Lead sub-contract procurement, valuations, variations, and final accounts
  • Provide commercial insight, advice, and accurate reporting to senior management
  • Work collaboratively with project teams, clients, and the wider supply chain
  • Support the ongoing development of commercial processes, systems, and best practice

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as a lead QS within a main contractor environment, ideally on commercial projects
  • Strong BOQ preparation and management capabilities
  • Excellent cost reporting, financial analysis, and commercial awareness (JCT experience essential)
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Solid understanding of commercial construction, project delivery processes, and relevant regulations
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline
  • Willingness to travel to sites across London and the South as required
