This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded Assistant Buyer / Buying Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced trading environment and loves the buzz of sourcing great products at the right price.

What you’ll be doing:
- Negotiating hard on cost price to secure exceptional value without compromising quality
- Sourcing high-value clearance and opportunistic products from UK & European suppliers
- Managing and growing smaller supplier accounts, building strong commercial relationships
- Tracking market trends, competitor pricing, and new opportunities
- Supporting stock flow, availability, and range performance alongside merchandising and supply chain teams
- Analysing sales and margin data to shape smarter buying decisions
- Ensuring accurate purchase orders, records, and buying administration
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in buying, procurement, or a commercial retail role (ideal but not essential)
- A confident negotiator with strong commercial instincts
- Analytical, organised, and comfortable working with data (Excel skills essential)
- Proactive, driven, and eager to take ownership
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to build supplier relationships
- Exposure to clearance sourcing or UK/European suppliers is a bonus
