The ideal candidate will have: Graduate or equivalent professional qualification e.g. criminal justice, social care, probation. At least 2 years practice experience of working with vulnerable children and young people, preferably within a youth justice setting. Knowledge and understanding of the youth justice system, and the complex issues that affect children and young people within the youth justice system. Recent experience of managing a caseload of children and young people- undertaking assessments of risk and need, developing plans, and delivering interventions that effect positive change and manage risk. Knowledge and experience of managing out of court disposals and statutory court orders. Excellent skills in the preparation and delivery of verbal and written reports, preferably with experience of working in Court.
