Join the Looked After Children Team in Wrexham as a dedicated Social Worker, where you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and their families. This position offers a competitive rate of £41.58 per hour on an Umbrella basis. As part of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the welfare and safety of looked after children, working collaboratively with families, agencies, and local authorities to provide the best outcomes for those in our care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, families, and other professionals.
- Monitoring and reviewing the progress of looked after children, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs met.
- Providing emotional support and guidance to children and foster families.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Experience working with looked after children and knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a complex caseload effectively.
