Children's SW -MASH Team - City of Wolverhampton Council

The City of Wolverhampton Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on safeguarding children and young people. You will play a pivotal role in assessing risk, delivering support, and collaborating with various agencies to ensure the welfare of children in our community.

As a Qualified Social Worker in the MASH Team, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting initial assessments and risk evaluations for children and families.
• Working collaboratively with partner agencies to share information and develop safeguarding plans.
• Providing direct support and intervention to children and families in need.
• Maintaining accurate and timely case records in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Participating in team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of service delivery.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

• A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and assessment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with children and families.
• A good understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
