Caritas Recruitment is supporting North Somerset Council with the recruitment of experienced Children with Disabilities Social Workers to join a dedicated service supporting children and young people with complex needs and their families. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive local authority that is committed to delivering high-quality services and positive outcomes for children with disabilities.
Key Details- Location: Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset
- Pay Rate: Up to £45 per hour
- Hours: 37 hours per week
- Travel Support: Up to £100 per week available for candidates who travel to the area for work
- Office Requirement: Minimum 2 days per week in the office
- Visits: All statutory visits must be completed face-to-face
As a Children with Disabilities Social Worker, you will:
- Manage a caseload of children and young people with disabilities
- Complete assessments, care planning, and reviews
- Work closely with families and multi-agency partners
- Undertake safeguarding and child protection work where required
- Contribute to achieving positive outcomes for children and their families
- Prepare reports and attend relevant meetings, including court proceedings where necessary
To be considered, you will need:
- Social Work England registration
- Experience within Children's Social Care
- Previous Children with Disabilities experience
- Strong assessment and safeguarding skills
- Experience of multi-agency working
- Excellent report writing and case management skills
- A commitment to delivering positive outcomes for children and families
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
