We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Learning Disability Team in Walsall. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional who is passionate about supporting individuals with learning disabilities and their families. You will play a vital role in promoting independence, enhancing quality of life, and facilitating access to essential services for our clients.
As a Social Worker in our Learning Disability Team, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and strengths of individuals with learning disabilities.
- Developing and implementing person-centered care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Providing emotional support, guidance, and advocacy to clients and their families.
- Monitoring and reviewing care plans to ensure effective service delivery and positive outcomes.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A relevant Social Work qualification (Degree or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, preferably in a community setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
