Join our dedicated Children's Safeguarding Team in Walsall as a Qualified Social Worker, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people in our community. In this position, you will work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and local authorities to promote positive outcomes for children at risk. Your expertise will be essential in assessing needs, developing intervention plans, and providing ongoing support to vulnerable families.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children’s needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing child protection plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
  • Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive parenting and child development.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
