In this role, you will lead assessments, provide expert guidance, and ensure the delivery of high-quality social care services to those in need within our community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families in need, identifying risks and support requirements.
- Providing supervision and mentoring to junior social workers and support staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Developing and implementing care plans, ensuring they are person-centered and adhere to legal and policy frameworks.
- Engaging with families, external agencies, and stakeholders to coordinate services and support.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with local and national standards.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A relevant social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Significant post-qualification experience in children's services, particularly in duty and assessment.
- Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
