Manchester City Council's Children’s Services have been rated Outstanding by OFSTED, and we are currently looking for an experienced Supervising Social Worker to join the highly regarded Kinship Fostering Team. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in helping children remain connected to their families by assessing, supporting and developing kinship foster placements that provide stability, safety and positive outcomes.

The Role
- Complete comprehensive kinship fostering assessments
- Undertake court-directed assessments and prepare high-quality reports
- Assess the suitability of family members and connected persons as foster carers
- Provide ongoing support, supervision and guidance to approved kinship carers
- Work closely with children’s social workers, legal teams and multi-agency partners
- Ensure compliance with fostering regulations, legislation and safeguarding procedures
- Participate in the duty rota as required
