We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Social Worker to join the Integrated Front Door (IFD) - Referral and Assessment Service in Bolton. Based at Castle Hill, this role provides a purposeful, professional duty service to children, families, and partner agencies. You will play a key role in screening and assessing referrals, ensuring that children receive the right support at the right time - whether that is early help, a child in need plan, or statutory intervention under Section 47.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a professional duty service in line with statutory requirements and departmental policies.
- Screen and assess referrals to determine whether a Section 47 (Child Protection) enquiry or Children and Family Needs Assessment is required.
- Contribute to front door duty provision, offering accurate information, advice, and guidance to families and professionals.
- Arrange services and coordinate support for families requiring further intervention.
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to safeguard and promote children’s welfare.
- Maintain clear, timely, and accurate case records.
- Demonstrate professional curiosity, resilience, and a strong commitment to safeguarding.
