We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Social Worker (AP) to join our Children in Need (CIN) Team in Harrow. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families in our community. As a Social Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services, ensuring the welfare and protection of vulnerable children and young people.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assessing the needs of children and families, developing and implementing effective intervention plans.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and maintaining accurate case records in compliance with legislation and local policies.
- Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a holistic approach to safeguarding and support.
- Attending court hearings and providing expert testimony as required.
- Providing emotional support and guidance to families, helping them to navigate challenges and access resources.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, CQSW, or DipSW).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse families.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently, managing a caseload efficiently.
