We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join the Duty & Assessment Team in Shropshire, offering a competitive rate of £38 per hour (Umbrella). This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified social worker who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families. You will play a vital role in assessing and managing cases, ensuring that vulnerable individuals receive the support they need.
As a Senior Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and managing complex cases within the Duty & Assessment framework.
- Providing expert guidance and support to junior staff and colleagues, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Developing and implementing effective intervention plans, ensuring the best outcomes for children and families.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with local policies and procedures.
- Engaging with various stakeholders, including families, schools, and other agencies, to promote integrated service delivery.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in children's social work, particularly in assessment and duty roles.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage risk effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively with families and professionals.
