Join our dedicated Children's SP - LAC Team in Shropshire as a Qualified Social Worker, where you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and young people in our community.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children in care.
Responsibilities
- Conducting assessments and developing care plans to meet the individual needs of children and young people.
- Building trusting relationships with children, families, and other professionals.
- Managing a caseload effectively while ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of safeguarding strategies.
- Providing guidance and support to foster carers and adoptive families.
Qualifications and Skills
- A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work, Dip SW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working with children and families, particularly in a looked-after children context.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to assess risk and make sound judgments in challenging situations.
