Shropshire Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Duty and Assessment Team. This vital role involves working with children and families to ensure their safety and well‑being, providing support and guidance to those in need. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver the best outcomes for children and young people.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting initial assessments and investigations in response to referrals.
• Developing and implementing effective intervention plans tailored to individual family needs.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to‑date case records in accordance with statutory requirements.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
• Current Social Work England registration.
• Experience working within a children’s social work setting, preferably in a duty and assessment role.
