We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Children's Services team in Solihull, specializing in Child Protection (CP) and Children in Need (CIN) cases. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional who is committed to improving the lives of vulnerable children and their families. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding children, conducting assessments, and developing intervention plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each child and family.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families in need of support.
- Developing and implementing effective care plans and intervention strategies.
- Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, including health, education, and law enforcement agencies.
- Providing supervision and support to junior social workers and students.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Significant experience in child protection and child in need assessments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a complex caseload.
