We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Assessment Team in Lambeth. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of individuals and families in the community, ensuring that they receive the appropriate support and services. You will lead assessments, manage complex cases, and work collaboratively with various stakeholders to promote the well-being of those we serve.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals and families, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Developing and implementing tailored care plans in collaboration with service users and their families.
  • Providing expert guidance and supervision to junior social workers and support staff.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with local policies and procedures.
  • Engaging with external agencies and community resources to facilitate access to services.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in social work, particularly in assessment and intervention.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage complex cases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to collaborative working.
