Senior Prac - LD Duty Team - Hackney

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our LD Duty Team in Hackney. This pivotal role involves providing high-quality social work services to individuals with learning disabilities, ensuring their needs are met while promoting their rights and independence. As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a key role in mentoring junior staff, managing complex cases, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective interventions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Assessing the needs of individuals with learning disabilities and developing tailored care plans.
• Providing expert guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative working environment.
• Managing a caseload of complex cases, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices.
• Engaging with families, carers, and external agencies to coordinate support and services.
• Participating in training and development initiatives to enhance team capabilities and service delivery.

To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications and skills:

• A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
• Social Work England registration.
• Significant post-qualification experience in social work, particularly in learning disabilities.
• Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to promoting service user involvement.
