Are you a passionate and dedicated Social Worker looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people transitioning to adulthood? Rotherham Council is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join our Preparing for Adulthood Team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with young individuals aged 14-25, supporting them through the challenges of transitioning from childhood to adulthood and helping them achieve their goals and aspirations.
As a Social Worker within our team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments and developing tailored support plans for young people.
- Providing guidance and advocacy to empower young individuals and their families.
- Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a holistic approach to care and support.
- Monitoring and reviewing care plans, ensuring services are responsive to changing needs.
- Facilitating workshops and support groups to enhance life skills and independence.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working with young people, particularly in transition planning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
- Effective organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload efficiently.
