We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Duty and Assessment Team in Lancashire.

This exciting opportunity offers a competitive rate of £40 per hour (Umbrella) and is ideal for professionals looking to make a significant impact in the social work field.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in safeguarding vulnerable individuals and families while ensuring high-quality assessments and interventions.

As a Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify their needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Providing expert supervision and guidance to junior social workers and support staff.
  • Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.
  • Engaging with external agencies to coordinate support services and resources.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A relevant social work qualification (e. g., Degree in Social Work, Dip SW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a social work setting, specifically in duty and assessment.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures and legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
