We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Adults Safeguarding team in Devon. This pivotal role involves working collaboratively to safeguard vulnerable adults, ensuring their rights and well-being are prioritized. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in assessing risks, developing care plans, and implementing safeguarding measures to support individuals in our community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals at risk, including identifying needs and potential safeguarding concerns.
- Developing and implementing tailored care plans in collaboration with service users, their families, and other professionals.
- Providing support and guidance to individuals and families to navigate complex situations and access necessary resources.
- Working closely with multi-agency teams to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with legal and organizational requirements.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in adult safeguarding and knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals and families.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults.
