Children's SW - Young People's Safeguarding Team - Peterborough

The Young People's Safeguarding Team in Peterborough is seeking a qualified Children's Social Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and young people in our community.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children and families.
• Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with families and other professionals.
• Managing a caseload of children and young people, ensuring regular reviews and updates.
• Providing support and guidance to families, helping them to navigate challenges.
• Participating in multi-agency meetings to promote the best outcomes for children.
• Documenting casework and maintaining accurate records in compliance with statutory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

• A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW).
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Proven experience in children’s social work, particularly in safeguarding.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding policies.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
