We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Expert Court Assessment Service in Barking & Dagenham.
This permanent position offers a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic team that is committed to delivering high-quality assessments and interventions for families involved in court proceedings.
As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and vulnerable adults while navigating complex legal frameworks.
Your key responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive assessments, preparing detailed reports for court, and providing expert testimony as required.
You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including legal professionals, health services, and community organizations, to ensure a holistic approach to case management.
Additionally, you will supervise and mentor junior staff, fostering their professional development and ensuring adherence to best practices within the field.
To be considered for this role, you must possess a recognized social work qualification (e. g., CQSW, Dip SW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England.
A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in a relevant setting, particularly involving court assessments, is essential.
You should demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of child protection legislation and court processes.
Experience in managing complex cases and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams is highly desirable.
