Oldham Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Assessment & Intervention Team on a temporary basis, offering a competitive rate of £39 per hour.

As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in assessing needs, providing interventions, and ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals.
Key responsibilities include
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to determine the needs of children and families.
- Developing and implementing intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local policies and procedures.
- Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and services.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings to promote effective communication and collaboration.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e. g., BA/MA in Social Work).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
