I'm currently working with Middlesbrough Children's Services to recruit an experienced Locum Advanced Practitioner to join their Children's Social Care team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled practitioner who enjoys supporting colleagues, managing complex work, and driving high-quality practice while benefiting from the flexibility and earning potential that locum work offers.

The Role

As a Locum Advanced Practitioner, you'll provide practice leadership and support across the team, helping to improve outcomes for children and families whilst working on complex safeguarding and child protection cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and supporting complex child protection, CIN and court cases.
  • Providing mentoring and practice guidance to Social Workers.
  • Supporting quality assurance and best practice across the service.
  • Working closely with Team Managers and partner agencies to deliver positive outcomes for children and families.

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker
  • Social Work England registration
  • Significant post-qualified Children's Social Care experience
  • Strong safeguarding, child protection and court work experience
  • Experience supporting and developing other practitioners
