Senior Practitioner - Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) East London | Mental Health | Local Authority / NHS Partnered Service

Are you a Qualified Social Worker passionate about high-quality mental health practice and developing others? We're working with a well-established Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in East London to recruit a Senior Practitioner who wants to make a genuine impact - for service users and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior Social Workers
  • Undertake and oversee Care Act assessments and complex casework
  • Contribute to quality assurance and service improvement activities
  • Act as a point of expertise within the team, supporting best practice in mental health social work
  • Work collaboratively with health colleagues, partner agencies, and families

What we're looking for

  • Qualified Social Worker (SWE registered)
  • Significant post-qualification experience within Mental Health services
  • Confidence supporting, mentoring, and guiding less experienced staff
  • Strong understanding of the Care Act and safeguarding frameworks

Desirable (but not essential):

  • AMHP qualification
  • Previous leadership or senior practitioner experience
  • Involvement in quality, assurance, or practice improvement work
