The Richmond Mental Health Social Care Team is recruiting a full‐time Social Worker based at the Civic Centre, Twickenham (TW1 3BZ). This role offers a hybrid pattern of home working alongside office days for duty and mandatory team activities. The Civic Centre is just a 20‐minute train journey from Clapham Junction.
The service supports adults aged 18-75 with severe and enduring mental health needs, delivering social care provision separate from the clinical community mental health team.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years post‐qualifying experience, be confident managing a complex caseload, and be able to work collaboratively within a supportive, multi‐disciplinary environment.
You must have experience of:
- Complex Care Act assessments and reviews
- Mental Capacity Act assessments
- Carers Assessments
- Safeguarding / Section 42 enquiries
- Preparing Mental Health Tribunal Social Circumstance Reports
- Consistent strengths‐based practice
- Participating in duty on a rota basis
- Strong assessment, analysis, and decision‐making skills
- Ability to work well within a team and contribute to a positive culture
- Confidence handling complex cases and managing risk
- Commitment to high‐quality social care and person‐centred practice
Pay rate: £32 per hour
