We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Safeguarding Team in Sefton. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families within our community. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and managing cases involving children at risk, ensuring their safety and wellbeing while working collaboratively with other professionals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of children's needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing care plans that prioritize child safety and welfare.
- Collaborating with families, schools, and external agencies to provide holistic support.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and safeguarding conferences.
- Providing advice and support to colleagues and stakeholders on safeguarding issues.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Demonstrable experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A commitment to continual professional development and training.
