Lincolnshire's Children's Safeguarding Team is seeking an experienced and qualified Assistant Practitioner (AP) to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of children, providing essential support to families, and working collaboratively with various stakeholders to promote best practices in safeguarding.
As an Assistant Practitioner within the Children's Safeguarding Team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify the needs of children and families.
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Providing direct support and intervention to children and their families, ensuring their voices are heard.
- Maintaining accurate and timely records in accordance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to strategy discussions to safeguard children effectively.
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A relevant degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working in children's services, particularly within safeguarding.
- Strong understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across different agencies.
