Lancashire County Council's Fostering Service is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Kinship Assessment Team.
Location: Lancashire (Hybrid Working Available)
Rate: £36 per hour
Interviews taking place ASAP.
Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive assessments of prospective Kinship Carers and Foster Carers in line with fostering regulations, legislation and best practice.
- Support permanency planning for children and ensure carers are fully assessed in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with children, families, carers and multi-agency partners to deliver high-quality assessments that support positive outcomes for children.
Qualifications:
- Social Work England registration
- Post-qualified experience within Children's Services
- Experience completing Kinship Care Assessments and/or Connected Persons Assessments
- Experience undertaking Fostering Assessments
- Strong working knowledge of fostering legislation, regulations, policies, and statutory guidance
- Excellent assessment, report writing, and analytical skills
- The ability to manage a varied caseload and meet deadlines effectively
