Lancashire County Council's Fostering Service is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Kinship Assessment Team.

Location: Lancashire (Hybrid Working Available)

Rate: £36 per hour

Interviews taking place ASAP.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete comprehensive assessments of prospective Kinship Carers and Foster Carers in line with fostering regulations, legislation and best practice.
  • Support permanency planning for children and ensure carers are fully assessed in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with children, families, carers and multi-agency partners to deliver high-quality assessments that support positive outcomes for children.

Qualifications:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Post-qualified experience within Children's Services
  • Experience completing Kinship Care Assessments and/or Connected Persons Assessments
  • Experience undertaking Fostering Assessments
  • Strong working knowledge of fostering legislation, regulations, policies, and statutory guidance
  • Excellent assessment, report writing, and analytical skills
  • The ability to manage a varied caseload and meet deadlines effectively
