Interim Service Manager - Family Help

Based primarily in Kingswood | Mainly office based
Caritas Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Interim Service Manager to provide senior leadership to the South Family Help Team in Kingswood for an initial 3-month period, pending the arrival of a permanent starter.
You may also be required to provide short-term support to the Central Family Help Team at Badminton Road during absence of their Service Manager.
The Role
This is a highly visible senior leadership position within Family Help and Social Care, providing confident operational leadership and ensuring children and families receive safe, effective and child-centred services.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing senior leadership across the Family Help service area.
- Leading and supporting Team Managers to deliver consistently strong practice.
- Setting clear priorities and driving a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
- Using performance, quality assurance, financial and workforce information to inform service delivery.
- Supporting services to respond effectively to demand and prepare for inspection activity.
- Working collaboratively with partners to improve outcomes for children, young people and families.
- Ensuring resources are managed effectively while maintaining high-quality service delivery.
About You
We're looking for an experienced Children's Social Care Service Manager who can confidently step into an interim leadership position and provide immediate stability and direction.
You’ll need strong experience of:
- Senior operational leadership within Children's Social Care.
- Leading services through Team Managers.
- Family Help and statutory Children's Social Care.
- Performance management and quality assurance.
- Service improvement and managing complex operational pressures.
- Working effectively with senior leaders, managers and partner agencies.

- £425 per day Umbrella - fixed rate
- Initial 3-month contract
- South Family Help Team, Kingswood
- Mainly office based, with minimal home working
- Potential short-term support to the Central Family Help Team at Badminton Road
