About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Social Worker to join a FAST team in Horncastle. This is a key frontline role, delivering high-quality statutory social work to children and families across:
- Child in Need
- Child Protection
- Children in Care
You will play a critical role in safeguarding, assessment, and planning, ensuring children receive the right support at the right time to achieve safe and positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Section 47 enquiries and lead safeguarding investigations
- Complete comprehensive Child and Family Assessments
- Apply evidence-based frameworks such as Signs of Safety to assess and manage risk
- Lead and contribute to multi-agency planning and decision-making
- Produce high-quality, analytical reports, including those for court
- Maintain timely, accurate and defensible case recordings
- Build strong, purposeful relationships with children and families through relationship-based practice
- Demonstrate sound decision-making in complex and high-risk situations
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience within statutory children's social work
- Strong working knowledge of Child Protection, CIN, and CIC processes
- Confidence managing complex caseloads and safeguarding concerns
- Experience in court work and report writing
- Ability to work collaboratively across agencies
- A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and families
Working Arrangements
Duty week: Full on-site presence required (5 days), on a 1 in 3 week rota
Non-duty weeks: Flexible hybrid working available
