We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join our dynamic team in Herefordshire, focusing on adult social work.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in safeguarding and promoting the well‑being of individuals with mental health needs.

Your expertise will ensure that vulnerable adults receive the support they require, enabling them to lead fulfilling lives within their communities.

As an AMHP, your key responsibilities will include: Conducting mental health assessments and determining the need for detention under the Mental Health Act.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills: Qualified Social Worker with a valid Social Work England registration.

AMHP qualification and relevant post‑qualification experience in mental health.

Strong knowledge of mental health legislation, particularly the Mental Health Act.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to service users.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex cases with professionalism.
