We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader for our Family Help Team in Gloucester, who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of families in need. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting a group of qualified social workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that promote the well-being and safety of children and families.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing effective leadership and supervision to the Family Help Team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Overseeing case management, ensuring that assessments, interventions, and support plans are developed and implemented effectively.
- Working closely with families, community organizations, and other stakeholders to coordinate services and resources.
- Monitoring and evaluating team performance, providing feedback and training as needed to enhance skills and service delivery.
- Ensuring compliance with local authority policies, procedures, and statutory requirements while maintaining best practice standards.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registered with Social Work England and a minimum of 3 years of post‑qualification experience in children’s services.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a social work setting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in social work.
