Location: Selby Role Type: Locum Rate: 37.79 per hour Caseload: 20-24 families About the Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fostering Social Worker to join a well-supported service based in Selby. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable team where manageable caseloads (20-24) allow you to focus on delivering meaningful, high-quality support to foster carers and children. You will play a key role in the recruitment, assessment and ongoing support of foster carers, ensuring carers are equipped to provide safe, nurturing environments where children can thrive. Key Responsibilities Support, supervise and develop foster carers Complete fostering assessments (Form F) and annual reviews Work in partnership with internal teams and external agencies Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records Requirements Qualified Social Worker (Social Work England registered) Minimum 3+ years post-qualified permanent experience (essential to meet DfE regulations) Experience within fostering or children s services Strong assessment and relationship-building skills Ability to manage a caseload effectively while maintaining quality practice Why This Role?
