Fareham & Gosport are seeking experienced Social Workers and Senior Social Workers to join their Family Help Service on a temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity to support children and families at an early-help and targeted-support level within a collaborative, multi-agency environment.
The role offers hybrid working, typically 1-2 days a week in the office, with flexibility open to discussion.
About the RoleYou will work directly with children and families to deliver high-quality early intervention, strengths-based practice and timely safeguarding where required. Working within the Family Help model, you will contribute to safe planning, improved family functioning and positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Hold and manage a caseload of children requiring targeted support and early help intervention.
- Complete timely assessments, direct work and planning in line with the Family Help model.
- Identify and respond to early indicators of risk, escalating appropriately where necessary.
- Work closely with partner agencies to coordinate multi-agency plans and improved outcomes.
- Provide guidance and professional leadership if working at SSW level.
- Maintain accurate, high-quality recordings and case documentation.
- SWE Registered Social Worker with Right to Work in the UK.
- Experience working in Children's Services, ideally within early help / safeguarding.
- Strong communication, analysis and relationship-based practice skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
Location: Fareham & Gosport
Role: Family Help - Social Worker / Senior Social Worker
Rate: £38 per hour (SW) / £42 per hour (SSW)
Working Pattern: Hybrid - once to twice per week in office (flexible)
Duration: 3-month assignment (with potential extension)
