About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Family Safeguarding Social Worker to join a supportive and collaborative Children’s Social Care team in Richmond, North Yorkshire. You will play a key role in safeguarding children and supporting families through strengths-based, relationship-focused practice. The service operates within statutory frameworks including the Children Act 1989 and 2004, ensuring safe and positive outcomes for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritise cases allocated by your Team Manager
  • Undertake assessments of children and families, making evidence-based recommendations

  • Maintain accurate case records and produce high-quality reports
  • Present evidence in court where required
  • Actively engage in supervision and performance reviews
  • Ensure all work aligns with statutory duties and best practice standards
