The Role:
We are recruiting an experienced Family Safeguarding Social Worker to join a stable, supportive team in Cambridge. This is a varied and rewarding position, working across CIN, CP and CIC cases, with strong management support and clear processes in place.
Key Responsibilities:
- Completing statutory visits for CIN, CP and CIC cases
- Holding a caseload including CIN, CP, CIC, with some cases within PLO and S31 Care Proceedings
- Preparing and completing court reports, parenting assessments and risk assessments
- Attending court hearings with support from Senior Practitioners or Team Managers
- Chairing CIN Meetings and Core Groups
- Attending and contributing to ICPCs and RCPCs, including writing conference reports
- Supporting team duty rota
- Effectively managing and assessing risk to safeguard children and families
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
- Strong experience across CIN, CP and CIC
- Confident with court work and assessments
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise effectively
- A collaborative and organised approach to safeguarding
