Family Court Adviser (Social Worker) – Exeter/Plymouth/Cornwall Location: Exeter/Plymouth/Cornwall Rate: £36.50 per hour Contract Type: Temporary Working Pattern: Full-time Start Date: ASAP About the Role Cafcass (Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our team as a Family Court Adviser (FCA) in Exeter/Plymouth/Cornwall. In this pivotal role, you will work directly with children and families involved in family court proceedings, providing expert assessments and recommendations to ensure the best outcomes for children. Key Responsibilities Conduct assessments and provide analysis to the family courts, focusing on the child\’s welfare. Engage with children and families to understand their needs, wishes, and feelings. Collaborate with parents, relatives, local authorities, and legal professionals. Prepare high-quality reports and present findings in court. Maintain accurate case records and documentation. Requirements Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in children\’s social work, including safeguarding and risk assessment. Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills. Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
