We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Pre-Birth & Newborn Family Help Team in Enfield. As a key member of our team, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing tailored support plans for families, ensuring that they receive the necessary resources and assistance during this pivotal transition.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments of families expecting a child and those with newborns to identify their needs and strengths.
- Developing and implementing intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Providing emotional support and practical advice to parents, helping them navigate the challenges of parenthood.
- Facilitating access to services such as healthcare, housing, and financial assistance.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of casework and progress reports.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/BSc in Social Work or equivalent).
- Current registration with the relevant social work regulatory body.
- Experience working with families, particularly in pre-birth or newborn settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of local resources and services available for families.
