The Role
As a Children's Assessment Social Worker, you will:
- Undertake Section 17 & Section 47 assessments
- Carry out timely, high-quality child and family assessments
- Manage a varied caseload within statutory timescales
- Work in partnership with multi-agency professionals to safeguard children
- Contribute to effective decision-making at the point of referral
- Participate in a duty rota, with every 4th week being a full duty week in the office
What We're Looking For
To be considered, you must have:
- A minimum of 3 years' permanent post-qualified experience within children's social care
- At least 3 years' experience in an Assessment Team
- Strong knowledge of UK safeguarding procedures, legislation and frameworks
- Excellent assessment, communication, and risk management skills
- A recognised Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration
