We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children’s Social Worker to join our Transitions Team in Dudley. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting children and young people as they transition from care to independence. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that their emotional, social, and developmental needs are met, helping them to thrive in their new environments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing tailored support plans for children and young people.
  • Providing direct support and guidance to children and families during transition phases.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency teams to ensure holistic care and support.
  • Monitoring and reviewing cases to ensure progress and address any emerging issues.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with safeguarding and legal standards.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with children and young people, particularly in transition settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices.
