As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of high-quality social work services. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and mentoring a team of social workers, providing guidance and support to ensure best practices are followed.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing effective care plans in partnership with families and other professionals.
- Managing complex casework and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of local safeguarding strategies.
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Significant post-qualification experience in child protection and working with children in need.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with a proven ability to make sound judgments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with families and professionals.
