About the Role
We are recruiting experienced Adult Social Workers to join a newly created countywide team responding to referrals across Cornwall. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a flexible, responsive service designed to meet demand wherever it arises. Work will be allocated by geographical areas, rather than traditional mid/east/west patches, requiring adaptability and a proactive approach. There is more remote working than usual, balanced with community visits as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake Care Act assessments
- Complete Care and Support Planning
- Carry out Mental Capacity Assessments and associated statutory work
- Manage your own workload autonomously
- Meet strict statutory deadlines for assessments and plans
- Respond flexibly to referrals across the county
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant adult social care experience
- Strong working knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Access to a car and willingness to travel across Cornwall (within reasonable distance)
- Confident undertaking face-to-face visits when required
