Location: Apsley 1, Brindley Way, Hemel Hempstead

Pay: £42.50 per hour

Contract: Temporary (3 months)

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week

Hybrid Working: 3 days per week in office

About the Role: Hertfordshire County Council's Family Safeguarding Team is seeking an experienced Consultant Social Worker to join the St Albans team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a pioneering model that focuses on keeping families together through collaborative, multi-agency working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake care planning, assessments, and reviews for children and families.
  • Deliver welfare reports for conferences and court hearings.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to achieve the best outcomes for children.
  • Support the Family Safeguarding approach, including training in motivational interviewing.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Minimum of 3 years' post-qualifying experience in frontline children's services.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of legislation, guidance, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Must be a car driver with access to own transport.
