About the Role: Hertfordshire County Council's Family Safeguarding Team is seeking an experienced Consultant Social Worker to join the St Albans team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a pioneering model that focuses on keeping families together through collaborative, multi-agency working.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake care planning, assessments, and reviews for children and families.
- Deliver welfare reports for conferences and court hearings.
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to achieve the best outcomes for children.
- Support the Family Safeguarding approach, including training in motivational interviewing.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Minimum of 3 years' post-qualifying experience in frontline children's services.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of legislation, guidance, and safeguarding procedures.
- Must be a car driver with access to own transport.
