Join our dynamic Children's Social Work - Referral & Assessment Team in Lewisham, where your expertise can make a real difference in the lives of children and families. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker who is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children and families in accordance with legislation and local policies.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency partners to develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Providing timely and accurate reports to inform decision-making processes.
  • Maintaining detailed case records and documentation in line with statutory requirements.
  • Engaging with children and families to build trust and encourage participation in the assessment process.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Proven experience in children's social work, particularly in referral and assessment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in children's social care.
