The London Borough of Ealing is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Families First/Initial Support Team. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality support and services to children and families in our community. You will work collaboratively with families, multi-agency partners, and colleagues to ensure the safety and well-being of children, while promoting positive outcomes for families in need.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families.
  • Developing and implementing tailored support plans to address identified needs.
  • Engaging with families to build trusting relationships and encourage participation in the support process.
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders, including schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely case records in accordance with statutory requirements and local policies.
  • Providing advice and support to families in crisis situations, ensuring their immediate needs are met.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in children's social work, particularly within initial assessment or family support settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse families.
  • Proficient in case management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in child protection and family support.
